Academic Enrichment

Academic Enrichment - 'Inspire'

At King’s we want all students to grow as independent thinkers who relish new challenges and have wide horizons for their learning. It is our aim to encourage every student to be confident about producing creative scholarship that reflects her own unique interests and questions about the world.

Within the classroom, teachers at King’s seek to provide high-level teaching and learning that inspires all students, including the gifted and talented. Thought-provoking extension work, open-ended questions that stimulate link-making and critical ideas and creative problem solving, are all part of the teaching toolkit at King’s.

Inspire Academic Enrichment Programme

With the start of the new year, we are delighted to introduce you to this term’s Inspire Programme. The aims of this programme continue to reflect its core purpose of inspiring creativity, curiosity and independence in our students through a range of enriching opportunities beyond the curriculum. There is something for all students to get involved with and be inspired by this term, ranging from a talk on International Human Rights Law to an exciting astronomy project.

We are also looking forward to the Key Stage 3 Inspire trip to the National Justice Museum in Nottingham and the launch of the next Inspire homework of the year in which students will be designing their own planet! We hope that students find plenty to be inspired by in this programme and make the most of the exciting opportunities on offer.
