Take a look at our new Music School - investing in the future for all our young musicians
Thank you for the music...
Our stunning new Music School is up and running. The high-tech Music School provides state-of-the-art facilities for King’s High and Warwick Prep. These include an auditorium, rehearsal studio (to include an organ from Birmingham Royal Conservatoire), two music classrooms, one keyboard suite running Cubase and Sibelius workstations, percussion studio, 14 practice rooms, a music library, and instrument storage.
With all the challenges facing the wider Music world, we take hope, both in offering such incredible facilities for our young musicians, aged from 3-18 years, and helping to nurture future generations.
The music departments of King's High and Warwick Prep are united under the baton of Alex Laing, Artistic Director (Music). Alex is also a conductor for the Benedetti Sessions, Nicola Benedetti’s inspiring and far-reaching musical education project. He coaches and conducts for the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain, and the National Youth String Orchestra of Great Britain.
We are delighted to welcome back our team of some 35 visiting teachers, who provide tuition for over 300 students across King’s High and Warwick Prep, in piano, strings (including harp and guitar), woodwind, brass, percussion, drum kit and singing.
