Boarding at King's High

There is a long and highly successful history of boarding at Warwick School, which shares the Foundation campus with King’s High. Our boy boarders describe their experience as being part of a family – ‘home away from home’ – where the boarding community is large enough to share many different interests with friends but small enough for everyone to be known and valued as an individual. This is the experience we now provide for our girl boarders.

The dedicated girls’ boarding house is located on site at beautiful Way House – a newly refurbished ‘home from home’, offering excellent accommodation for living and studying, with the outstanding facilities of King's High and the Warwick Schools Foundation available on the doorstep.

Boarding at King’s for those in the Sixth Form sees girls entering in Lower Sixth (Year 12) and progressing into Upper Sixth (Year 13); crucial years in preparing for university and life beyond school. Sixth Formers achieved an excellent set of A Level results this year and are looking forward to top university places and prestigious degree apprenticeships.

The unique boarding experience at King's High provides our boarders with the 'Best of Both Worlds' with academic single-sex teaching and co-educational, co-curricular opportunities outside the classroom. Our 55-acre campus includes a world-class music school, our very own theatre, and outstanding sporting facilities.

Joining King's High in Sixth Form offers a wealth of exciting opportunities; from our incredible co-curricular programme with over 230 weekly activities, to our acclaimed Friday Afternoon Activities programme, which encourages our students to discover new talents, develop interests and passions, and take part in leadership opportunities.

As a flagship centre for creative thinking, our Curriculum of the Future Project outlines our bold vision for the coming years, focusing on the content of our curriculum, the skills that are acquired through a high-quality curriculum, and the habits and character traits that will stay with our students well beyond their time at school.

Award-winning King's High was named the Sunday Times' top independent school in Warwickshire for academic performance in 2024 and is located just over 90 minutes away from London, in the heart of the country.

Girls at King’s achieve outstanding academic results, progressing to the highest-ranking universities. We know that our Boarders will continue this tradition, having access to outstanding academic and careers expertise.
