Travel Aboard

From the sprawling rainforests of Costa Rica to the imposing glaciers of Iceland, we organise a range of exciting, optional residential trips each year. In addition, day, evening and weekend trips take place each term, often linking in with specific areas of study.

Our central location allows us to travel easily to many places of interest, including London, and we are only 20 minutes from the theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon. Recent trips have included going to the RSC to see performances of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and 'King John’. In addition, we have a number of field trips in Geography, Art and Science to enhance students’ learning outside the classroom.  There are also several ‘Inspire’ trips to universities, including Oxford.

In Sport, students enjoy enriching trips, including Junior Hockey and Netball tours to Holland and Jersey, and Senior tours to South Africa, where they compete against local schools and clubs. Other highlights include attending the All England Badminton Finals, Superleague netball matches, and a Tennis tour to Portugal.

And, in Drama, theatre visits are a key feature of our Drama programme, with students enjoying trips to see a variety of genres throughout the year. Residential weekends in London and international trips, such as a joint visit to New York with Warwick School, further enrich the students' experience, broadening their appreciation of drama on a global scale.

In addition, each year, our Lower Sixth Formers embark on a transformative journey to India, where we have a special partnership with a school in Alchauna. Our students spend a week teaching and engaging with children and staff and contribute to Silent Valley community projects. This unforgettable experience not only supports local schools and communities but has also become a cherished rite of passage for our students.
