How you can support us
The Development Office supports our vision of delivering a broad and inclusive education, in a nurturing and supportive environment, whilst striving for excellence in all that we do.
King’s has benefited from generous philanthropic support of our community. Old Girls, parents and friends give their time and financial support to provide exceptional facilities that contribute to a wonderful pupil experience and the opportunities to allow our girls to Aspire, Achieve and Enjoy.
We invite all Old Girls and friends of the School to share our ambitious vision for the future and to become involved in supporting the school and enjoy the experience of making a difference to current pupils and many generations to come.

Types of Giving
King’s High aims to build a sustainable development programme that will provide long term support to the aims and goals of the school. There are a number of ways that benefactors can donate to the school.
Regular giving
Regular giving is particularly beneficial to our work, as it enables us to plan ahead and to use gifts in the most effective fashion. The easiest and most efficient way to make a regular gift is via Direct Debit, which can be made monthly, quarterly or annually for any duration of time (we recommend four years) or to be open-ended. All regular donations make a lasting impact on the school and its pupils, whether it is £10, £50, or £100 per month.
Legacy giving
Leaving a legacy to King’s High is one of the most significant ways to leave a lasting impact on the education of future generations of girls here. A legacy gift creates a lasting testimony of your connection with the school and allows you to support the school financially in a way that you might not otherwise have been able to do. A legacy to a Registered Charity such as King’s High can not only help to reduce or eliminate your liability to Inheritance Tax but also provides an excellent opportunity to help secure the long-term future of the School for generations to come.
Major giving
A major gift is a donation of £10,000 or more made by an individual, group, foundation or corporation in support of a specific area. Major gifts are often bespoke arrangements between the donor and school and can come in many forms. They are often pledged over a number of years to be most convenient to the donor.
In recent years, major gifts to King’s High have supported special projects and capital building projects such as One Campus Plus and The Lady Susi Jeans Organ.
Bursaries
The school has an ongoing commitment to raise additional funds for bursaries, to provide means-tested financial support to girls from all backgrounds. For many years girls came to the school supported by the Direct Grant and Assisted Places schemes. Since these have been phased out the school strives to offer its own bursaries and relies on the generous regular contributions of Old Girls and friends. This project is very important to us and one that is an ongoing priority for fundraising. Find out more here.
Volunteering
Many alumni, parents and friends have participated in our careers activities, to help our current pupils learn more about life beyond King’s High. Events include university trips, careers evening and networking, offering work experience and providing mentoring opportunities. Find out more here.
